Thrissur: Luca Soccer Club beat FC Kerala by three goals in the first match of Group A in the Kerala Premier League 2020-21. All goals in the match came after a goalless first half. Young striker Akmal Shan’s two attempts in the first half were remarkable and the first ended up an out-kick, that looked like a goal from outside the penalty box. Second, Akmal headed in an accurate cross from Rabeeh but the ball knocked on the crossbar and became goal kick.
The first goal of the match came in the 50th minute when Siddique scored from a cross by Fawaz. Afterwards, Luca SC took full control of the game. The second goal belonged to team captain Bala. In the 85th minute, KL10 Blues got the free kick and he finished easily into the net of fc Kerala. Akbar and Zaheer who arrived to the ground as replacements contributed to the third goal of the outing. Akbar scored from Saheer’s pass. Kochi native Bibin Boban won the man of the match award for his outstanding performance in the middle. Defenders Jiyad, Athul, Bala and all the players performed well and became a part of put the team ahead.
Next on the road, the KL10 Blues will face Sat Tirur on the 14th of march.
